I'm Mrs. Emily Davis, formally known as Miss Ford. Thank you for stopping by. Here is a little bit about me.
I am thrilled to be your teacher! It’s going to be a fun year, full of lots of learning and adventures, and I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us. I want to learn all about you, but first, I’ll tell you a little bit about me.
I was born in Akron, Ohio. My family and I moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee when I was 5 years old. I am the youngest of four. I have two older brothers and an older sister. I graduated from Riverdale High School in 2007 and attended Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) in Fall 2007. Throughout my 4 years of college, I worked for Murfreesboro City Schools Extended School Program (ESP), working with children with special needs. I graduated from MTSU in May 2011, with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education.
After graduating from MTSU, I moved to Lexington, Kentucky and taught in a Special Education classroom at a middle school. It was a wonderful first year of teaching and I learned so much. I moved back home to be close to family and started my second year teaching at Erma Siegel. This will be my fifth year at Erma Siegel, and I am so happy to be part of the Erma Siegel Elementary team!
I have the privilege of working with the best educational assistants, Shontay Woods & Davis Sharp. I couldn't do my job without them, and I'm thankful for their hard work and dedication. They are AWESOME!!! :)
Mr. Davis Mrs. Shontay
We look forward to this school year with my students, and we cannot wait to see them learn and grow!!
