I am so excited to be teaching at Erma Siegel Elementary!

I am a true Virginian at heart, born and raised!  In the winter of 2008 my husband received a job offer that we could not turn down; his job is what brought us to Murfreesboro, TN.  I enjoy living in Murfreesboro; but Richmond, Virginia will always be home.

When I was a high school Sophomore I found my passion for teaching and decided then that I was going to become a Special Education teacher.  That became reality in 1999 when I graduated from Longwood University in Farmville, VA with a Masters in Special Education.  Straight out of college I worked as a Special Education Resource Teacher for Hanover County Public Schools, VA for 5 years. In 2004 I was giving the opportunity to take some time away from teaching to become a stay at home mom.  When my youngest daughter started kindergarten I started working in various rolls within MCS- Substitute teacher, Special Education Educational Assistant, and now teacher!

When I’m not at school I enjoy being at home with my loving husband, 2 beautiful daughters, Cocker Spaniel, and Australian Shepard.  My girls keep me busy running to music lessons, archery practice, orchestra practice, church, and Girl Scouts. I am blessed beyond measure to have such a wonderful family and a job that I love.
