Emily Spencer

It is a privilege to serve as Principal of Erma Siegel Elementary and work with such committed, innovative and professional individuals. I have been dedicated to serving children for twenty- four years and for the past eleven, I have been blessed to serve as Principal of ESE.  Prior to joining Murfreesboro City Schools, I served as a classroom teacher, inner-city coordinator, assistant principal and principal for Metro Nashville Public Schools.  I have had the privilege of attending The University of Tennessee, Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee State University and Vanderbilt.  As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors-teachers, students and parents-are excited to be here!  My door is always open and I welcome your input.  Please feel free to call or email me to discuss any concerns you might have throughout the school year. 

I have been married to Michael Spencer for 24 years and have two children, Hayden and Hannah.

Emily Clark

I am so excited to serve as the Assistant Principal at Erma Siegel! 

I attended both Murfreesboro City and Rutherford County schools while growing up in Murfreesboro. I graduated from Middle Tennessee State University, where I earned both my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and my Master’s degree in Administration and Supervision. I have spent my entire teaching career serving the students of Murfreesboro City Schools. For 10 years, I taught Kindergarten and First grade at Bradley Academy. In 2005, I joined the Erma Siegel staff to be closer to home. In my 18 years here at Erma Siegel, I taught Third grade and most recently served as the Academic Coach.  

My husband and I have two beautiful daughters and a son-in law that we love to spend time with. Every day is a good day if you are with your friends and family. In any spare time that I have, I enjoy reading and listening to music.  

I love my Erma Siegel family and look forward to growing relationships with the students, parents, staff and all other members of our Eagle community!
